Due to the conventions of horror films I have decided to rate my film 18, Films such as Gothika and Panic room have been rated 15 however, my film is going to have more gore. The mise-en-scene used in my film will be fairly dramatic, such as dark rooms, dramatic clothing and ghostly images.
Even though my film is going to be rated 18 copyright legislation shows that internet websites such as ‘Fast past’ and cartoons like ‘king of the hill’ with taboo language are to be viewed by 18’s and over however, underage children are being given access to view these films without permission as it is online.
Therefore my films age limit matters but is most likely to be viewed by the younger generation such as teenagers, in light of this my film is going to be a certificate 16 as my film could be educational to teenagers as it brings awareness towards stalkers (verisimilitude is used throughout my film trailer to show that the events could happen to any mentally ill person or ‘normal’ person.)
