Goodfellows - The reason for me using pages 12 and 13 of the Goodfellows script was to get an insight of what an actual script looked like. The reason for my script having little dialogue is because the idea of my trailer is too create suspense and tension for my target audience.
This is pages 12 and 13 of the Goodfellows script that I have used as a template for my script.

Narrative structure

The protagonist in my film is 'Rachel' who plays the mother however, 'Carley' who plays the daughter is also a main character but she dosn't talk very much during my film trailer.
The antagonist in my film would be the stalker. The stalker is never seen but briefly heard. He is supposed to be a mataphor for the mothers insanity.

Disruption - The disruption in my film trailer would be that a supposed stalker is stalking the mother 'Rachel' and trying to kill her, but she has to obviousley look after her nine year old daughter at the same time as waiting for her death. This causes suspense throughout the film trailer.

Quest - The quest in my film trailer or in any film within the horror genre would be ' What are they going to do to escape their death?' In my film trailer the quest is to escape the stalker by hiding in their house and not being recognised by him, but do they succeed?

Resolution - Obviousley with my brief being a film trailer i can't show the resolution however, i have shown both the mother and daughter standing on the street dressed in white. ( The child also waves.) Does this mean that their dead? My idea of confusing the audience fits in significantly with the narrative.

Liiar

Language- The camera angles i am going to use in my trailer is going to be mainly wide shots and close ups. i am going to use close ups for star recognition and wide shots to show the audience a glimpse of what is going to happen. I will mainly use grey shots to emphasis sadness and insanity and to make the audience confused as some shots the mother and daughter are going to be extremely happy.

Institution- The production company i am going to use would be twentieth century fox as it is widely known for films and animations such as 'The simpsons'. If twentieth century ox produced my film it must mean that it is of decent standard.
During my trailer it will also say ' A Jade Stipetic production' So the two companies will be associated together in the making of this film.

ideology- The ideology behind my film trailer would be to show insanity in the fact that the murdered in my trailer is not actually there.

audience- My Film trailer is mainly for people aged eighteen and over as i have decided for my film to have certificate eighteen.

Representation- My film will be represented as a five minute film trailer i will do this by recording my chosen actors and showing the audience certain parts of the actual film to leave the audience in suspence. Prior to this i will create a front cover of a film magazine using my film as it's main feature. Also a poster to advertise and market my product.

Film trailer - location list

Inspiration from the film’ Panic room’ made me think that it would be creative to base the film trailer in one main room and film outside too to give the audience a sense of location. Changing the lighting in certain rooms could possibly change the audiences mood into feeling sorry for the mother ‘Rachel’ or possibly make them feel that the character is becoming more evil or ‘Mentally ill’.

A kitchen – Dark lighting with the telephone ringing, to create suspense.
Along with this location the mother ‘Rachel’ in the kitchen in extremely dark lighting to make the audience more aware of what is going on around her. I think that the kitchen is a good setting as it is unusual for a horror film.

The Bedroom – The bedroom is the main setting, the audience will be more familiar with this particular setting which means that I can manipulate the characters and certain parts in the story line will be easier to create in this room. The idea of the bedroom setting is to show that ‘Rachel’ and ‘Carley’ are confined there.

Cottingham road - I am going to use cottingham road with dark lighting to show the audience that ‘Rachel’ and ‘Carley’ could possibly be dead. At night cottingham road is extremely busy with traffic, this is to get across to the audience that ‘Rachel’s’ head is messed up.

Dark room – At certain points in my Film trailer ‘Rachel’ will be filmed in a dark room in which the audience will not perceive it as a room, but just as a dark background. This is to reflect her insanity.

Story boards (pictures)

This is a picture that is going to go at the end of my film trailer as part of a flash -back.

This is also going to be at the end of the film trailer to be shown as a flash back of what the mother and daughter did together.

This is similar to the above shot. which will essentially be used in the flash back.

This picture is supposed to reflect the mothers insanity when i film it properly, as they are both going to be pale and dressed in white.

This is the same of the above photograph.

These shots are of the door slowly being opened by the killer, this shot is also there to reflect the mothers insanity and state of mind. (Long shot.)

The door slowly opens more. . .

and more . . .

and more . . .

These shots are of 'Rachel' and 'Carley hiding in their bedroom from the stalker. (High angle shot.)

The further we get into the shot the more 'Rachel' becomes more mothering and 'Carley' begins to cry.

Same shot as the above shot

Close -up to show their emotions more clearlly to the audience.

. . .
. . .
These close-up shots are of my friend 'Rachel' in my film trailer she is the mother. The idea behind the close-ups and extreme close-up shots of her is that we can see that she is upset and possibly petrified. (Star recognition). When i actually film these shots the duration will be around 30 seconds to a minute so the audience gets a sneaks view throughout the trailer of what is to come.
If you look at my shots of 'Rachel' upset you will see that i tried a number of frames and shot types to see which one i liked the best.

These close-up shots are for star recognition and for the viewers to see 'Rachels' emotions. It also links to what is happenening with the stalker.

Differnet shots of her crying to see which one looks the best to reflect her sadness.

Disorientated pictures (for the end of my film trailer)

These disorientated images are for the end of my trailer - they are what i am going to record such as -
-Buses
-Doors
-Roads
-Banks
-Educational buildings - (Colleges, universities.)
These images basically reflect the mothers insanity or possible death, they are there for the purpose of confusing the audience about the trailer, the reason i want to confuse the reader is so my film trailer looks interesting and they want to go to cinema to watch it. By confusing the reader there becomes many possible outcomes and characteristics that the audience cant figure out without watching the entire film.
